Adam & Yasmin Wedding Dinner

Yasmin is of mixed parentage and Adam is Chinese, both are Malaysians. This was a very special occasion indeed.

Adam and Yasmin are a very fun and young couple, very easygoing and have a great sense of humour.

I was second shooter, helping out a friend.  Missed the morning session due to another assignment- where they had the Chinese Tea Ceremony and The Malay Akad Nikah.

Thankfully I was there at the dinner where they had the ‘Bersanding’ session and also “Yam Seng”. A unique fusion.

I would like to share some of my takes, in monochrome:

Siow Family Outing

Q: What can be a bigger handful than 1 kid running around?

A: 3 kids running around

The Siow family are relatives of a friend of mine, Gary. We had a family outing-photoshoot at Bukit Jalil Park just last week.

Its always a joy shooting kids, especially when they’re playing. they show their joy and tantrums :).  Adults seldom play, so its more challenging getting them to run around freely.

Here are some of my favourites:

Chun Chun also got his share of Ribena

An excellent way to capture candid pictures of kids is to ask them to play a game. It could be collecting stones, making a cake out of leaves and twigs, and towards the more extreme end, is throwing leaves at ‘Uncle’.Siow_Family@Bukit_Jalil_122S

Gary was the lucky Uncle.

Seng Leong & Jayne Wedding Lunch

After warming up with the couple portraiture session sometime back, Seng Leong & Jayne seemed more at eased with the photographer (which is incidently me).

During her speech, Jayne mentioned that Seng Leong is the quieter one while Jayne herself is more outspoken. Opposites do attract! They have been sweethearts since university days and I am glad long relationships do have happy endings. Congratulations to the lovely couple.

That weekend wasn’t a particularly lucky one for me as I injured a ‘very important’ part of my body and could not give my best effort. That incident deserves a blogpost by itself. Nevertheless, thanks to Terence and Chun Wei for helping out. Here are some shots from us.

I have two titles for this picture: “I Found you” & ” I’ve been Waiting for you”

In this situation, Homer Simpson would probably have said “Why you little!!” 🙂
